" At AIS, wellbeing is, and always will be, the thread that connects our entire community. As a close-knit family school, we believe that fostering happiness and wellbeing is a shared responsibility — one that unites us all. Students, parents, and staff often describe AIS as their “second family” — a place where everyone feels known, supported, and valued."
Our commitment to wellbeing is something you can see, hear, and feel throughout our school. It comes to life through a variety of initiatives designed to nurture every aspect of student growth, belonging, and community.
At AIS, wellbeing is personalised for every learner. Each student, class, and cohort is unique, with their own needs and strengths. In 2025–2026, AIS is introducing Switch4Schools, a whole-school program that helps students understand and manage their emotions using a simple “switch” framework. Through regular check-ins and tailored strategies, students build emotional awareness, resilience, and self-regulation — strengthening wellbeing across our community.

Student voice is central to our wellbeing approach. Regular surveys throughout the year ensure we listen, understand, and respond to the evolving needs and experiences of our learners — keeping our wellbeing initiatives relevant, inclusive, and impactful.
Our student Wellbeing Pillar Ambassadors play a vital role in building a caring and connected school community. They lead initiatives, promote positive wellbeing practices, and inspire others to contribute to a culture of empathy, inclusion, and belonging
Our House system fosters friendship, teamwork, and school spirit — helping every student feel a true sense of belonging
The role of the school clinic plays a crucial part in school life at AIS and as such we endeavour to ensure that we have a highly qualified school doctor and nurses on-site at all times, who work closely with the students and teachers. Our clinic staff provide a variety of services such as health education, carrying out developmental screening, undertaking health interviews and advising on immunisation programmes.
