At AIS Sharjah, we believe that student wellbeing is the foundation of learning and success. Our approach goes beyond academics, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and empowered to flourish. From the Early Learning Centre through to Senior School, wellbeing is woven into daily life through dedicated programs that nurture emotional resilience, positive relationships, and a strong sense of identity and belonging.
We know students learn best when they feel safe, valued, and connected. That’s why our commitment to student and staff wellbeing is embedded in every part of school life, shaping both our culture and our curriculum.
AIS was one of the first schools in the UAE to adopt a whole-school approach to wellbeing. Since 2018, we have pioneered a wellbeing framework grounded in positive psychology, a science dedicated to human flourishing and optimal functioning.
We are proud to be the only school in the UAE partnering with internationally renowned positive psychologist Professor Lea Waters (PhD). Her Visible Wellbeing (VWB) Framework is globally recognised and empowers our community through the principle:
“When we feel good, we function well.”
At AIS, wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility. Our close-knit, family-like culture ensures that every student is seen, supported, and celebrated.
