Pre-ELC

Nurturing a world full of fun, learning and creativity. 

The Pre- ELC class is limited to 20 students and will have a full time teacher and assistant. It will be located within the ‘A’ Block, where ELC is currently taught. 

Curriculum

Teachers follow the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and is designed to support teachers to plan and implement quality teaching and learning.

It has been developed based on international research and has a specific emphasis on:

• play-based learning.
• encouraging curiosity and inquiry.
• individualised programs supporting each child in reaching their social and academic potential.

There are five learning and development areas covering social and academic skills which are used to guide our planning and assessment of children's learning.

Ages

To enrol, children must be 3 years old by 31st August, when they enter Pre-ELC.

Times

Monday to Thursday from 8.15am to 12.15pm.

All lessons are for 30 minutes. Arabic, PE and Library are fixed times, the rest is flexible to children’s needs and interests. Class timetables will be shared with parents on ClassDojo.

If you are interested, kindly collect an enrolment pack from our Enrolments Department at your earliest convenience as spaces are limited. Once we receive your completed enrolment pack, an enrolment interview with the Deputy Head of School (ELC-Grade 2) will be scheduled. Following the interview, your child will be offered a place in our Pre-ELC.
